The Nike Air Vapormax has been the torchbearer of popular new silhouettes in 2017. Because of this, the Vapormax technology has made it’s way to other styles outside of the original shoe. Silhouettes like the Air Max Plus are launching with the updated Vapormax sole. Also, the Air Max 97 with the Vapormax sole will join it. The first colorway will be the Air Vapormax 97 “Neon”.
The existence of the Air VaporMax 97 has been known since at least October of last year, when word of the “Metallic Gold” colorway was announced to be releasing sometime this year. However, we never received images of the actual shoe, merely artist renderings of the pair. While we have still yet to see images of the aforementioned “Metallic Gold” pair, we do have images (and are now aware of), the existence of a “Neon” pair. The Neon pair utilizes the upper of the popular Original colorway of the Air Max 97 and places it on a Neon Green Vapormax sole.
