In 2012, the “Galaxy” Foamposite was one of the most popular releases of the year. As a result of its popularity, a huge wave of galaxy-inspired shoes dominated Nike’s catalogs for years after. Now that it has been some years since the trend has died, it looks like Nike is going to revive the colorway and give us a new “Galaxy” Foamposite with the Foamposite One “Big Bang”.
The colorway is reminiscent of samples from the original “Galaxy” Foamposite One. In comparison to the original, the shoe features a multicolored foamposite upper, giving it more of a space look than the original. The shoe is contrasted with black details around the rest of the shoe. The carbon fiber shank plate and outsole are also black. Also, the “Remove Before Flight” Hangtang makes its return as well.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Big Bang” will release on Feb. 18 for $220 at select Nike Retailers and Nike.com. Meanwhile, you can check out official images from Nike below.
