Retro Air Jordan 3 “Dunk Contest”: Official Images

Joining an already stacked and anticipated February for Nike and Jordan Brand is a litany of Jordan 3s. Both new and old colorways will be joining the fray. Some will feature Nike Air on the back tab, others will be previously unreleased colorways. One of the colorways set to release will be the Jordan 3 “Dunk Contest”.

The shoe will get its name and inspiration from Jordan’s participation in the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest. Coming dressed very similar to the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement”, subtle difference separates the two. One such difference is the pull tab, which reads “3:51”, which is the time Jordan made his famed free throw line dunk. On the inside of the tongue, is the number 147, which is the total score Jordan had. Lastly is the outsole, which is clear and features a red line going through the middle (a nod to the free throw line).

The prednisone Air Jordan 3 “Dunk Contest” will release on Feb. 14 at select Jordan retailers and Nike.com. Retail will be set at $200. Check out official images below.
