The adidas Yung-1 will be seeing it’s first anticipated colorway representing the evil space tyrant from Dragon Ball Z, Frieza, as part of the DBZ x adidas collection. However, the shoe has also been seen in more neutral colors at Paris Fashion Week.
Already being compared in the vein of the “Dad Shoe” aesthetic popularized by the Yeezy Wave Runner 700, Desert Rat 500 and the Calabasas Powerphase, the shoe utilizes a similar bulky tooling as the Wave Runner and Desert Rat. Taking on the upper of the vintage adidas Falcon, this shoe is looking to mix old with new as it gears up for its release.
As of yet, we don’t have any info on a release date of this tan colorway, but the “Frieza” colorway will be hitting some time in August. Stick with the Sole Post as more info is announced.
